Volunteering In Colorado Springs At Springs Rescue Mission

Volunteeringincoloradosprings

Springs Rescue Mission is continuing to focus on expanding our volunteer opportunities in Colorado Springs. As part of this effort, we are reaching into neighborhoods throughout the city.

We would like to introduce you to an outreach opportunity through Springs Rescue Mission that will make a greater difference and change more lives beyond the “four walls” of our downtown campus.

An immediate outreach opportunity is available and involves tutoring kids in Reading at an elementary school in the Knob Hill area. This opportunity is open to anyone – no experience required. The school offers a short training program to volunteers on the first day. You only need to give one hour of your time a week.

With the help of local neighborhood churches, organizations, and schools, the resources of Springs Rescue Mission will help more people throughout the Pikes Peak region with outreach projects like this.  Volunteering in Colorado Springs truly changes lives.

Our Mission Statement is “To partner with and engage the local church and community to serve the poor and homeless, feed the hungry, and minister to the addicted with the transforming message of the Gospel.”

It’s easy to help children learn to read. Sign up through NeighborBase now!
