Volunteer in Colorado Springs

Each week Springs Rescue Mission recognizes an outstanding volunteer in Colorado Springs.  This week Alice Bilger is that person!

Alice has been a volunteer at SRM for the past 14 years. She started when the Mission was handing out sack meals to the homeless under the bridge and operating out of one room, rented in an office complex. She has been a part of almost every service SRM provides. As the Mission grew and expanded over the years, so did Alice as a volunteer.

"Being a part of the Mission over the years has been a spiritually positive experience for me. In my later years I have grown so much closer to God by helping people. It has changed my life to help the Mission change lives. I still feel more blessed everyday because of what I get to do". ~Alice Bilger
