Volunteering In Colorado Springs At SRM ~ Thank You!!
Springs Rescue Mission would like to thank all of those who spent their Saturday volunteering in Colorado Springs at our Easter Alive Celebration! It was a complete success. We served 872 meals, 115 professional photos with the Easter bunny were taken and given to children and their families and over $8,000 in items were given away free of charge!! Here's what one recipient had to say about the event: "My daughter, granddaughter and I were praying last night for help with getting gasoline. Our prayers were answered when we received a $50 gift card from Wal-mart. That will help us with getting gasoline." Our Outreach Coordinator, Karen had this to say: "What a wonderful celebratory event Saturday was! It was the smoothest and "funnest" one ever. There were lots of smiles, laughter and people constantly thanking us. Everyone had a good time and ate well too." We are so proud and grateful for each and every one of you that came to serve during this blessed event. Thank you! If you would like to view all the pictures from this event, visit our Facebook page.
